cooking week


For our first year, the culinary weeks will be one per month and we will offer 5 cooking lessons with 5 different themes; in addition, there will be various experiences in local farms where we will make tastings and guided tours. We also offer a guided tour of Pienza and a visit to Montepulciano. Also, all participants will be offered a dinner / tasting with the best Tuscan wines explained by our sommelier.
Each lesson consists in the preparation of a a 3-4 course meal and will always end with an enjoyable meal with the prepared dishes.

Schedule - each week will be lightly different according to the season

Sunday: theme TUSCANY - afternoon
The lesson will be on the traditional Tuscan food. 4 courses: antipasto, pasta, meat and dessert

Monday: theme TRUFFLE - morning
Truffle hunting in the woods around Montisi with the truffle hunter Nico and his dogs. Back at the little kitchen, the lesson will be based on truffle. 3 courses.

Tuesday: theme VEGETABLE AND FISH - morning
Visit to the local markets in Sinalunga where will purchase all the necessary ingredients to prepare a 4 course meal based on fish and vegetable. There will be a risotto and fish course for sure. The rest will be inspired while walking through the stands.

Wednesday: theme TUSCAN PECORINO (sheep cheese) - morning and afternoon
We will visit a cheese farm where we will taste 5 different pecorino and ricotta cheese. 2 hours of visit to Montepulciano for walking, shopping and lunch. Once back to Montisi we will prepare a menu based on pecorino cheese. Stuffed pasta for sure + 3 more course.

Thursday: theme CHIANINA BEEF
Visit to the shed of the cows and to the butcher of a farm in Trequanda. The lesson will be on the beef and we will prepare 2 courses.

Friday: theme OIL, WINE AND PIENZA
Guided tour of Pienza, olive oil tasting at an olive oil press and dinner paired with the best Tuscan wine explained by our sommelier.

Cost per person 1450€

The price includes all the lessons, the grocery, the wine and all the outings with transportation. All the lesson will be completely hands-on and will take about 3 hours followed by lunch or dinner where the prepared dishes will be served.
The lesson will take up only half of the day, the other half will be free (except for the TUSCAN PECORINO day). In this regard, we are available to organize for you tour in our area which is rich of the cultural and food and wine attractions.
Accommodation is not included but will be happy to be at your disposal to find out the best place to stay for you. Please, do not hesitate with any question!

Each week will be confirmed only if there is a minimum of 6 participants signed in. For groups of minimum 6 people we are open to schedule different dates.
