The Tuscan Chef cooking class was one of the most memorable experiences of vacation in Tuscany! From the shopping at the market for ingredients to kneading the ravioli dough to perfection and the sit down dinner, chef Alessandro had everything beautifully organized. He shared all of his "secrets" to creating a delicious and authentic Tuscan meal!
Alessandro was absolutely wonderful in his instruction and so much fun to work with. I had such a great time in the class and the food was delicious.
We all enjoyed our cooking lesson with Lorenzo at the house where we were staying. The food was delicious, we learned lots of new techniques and enjoyed a truly fine meal. Lorenzo took care of all the details so we could just enjoy the time with him.
Seeing Alessandro and sharing his wonderful meals is always a highlight each year I return to Montisi. Amazing flavors. And prepared with love and ease. Also love that we can access the recipes on the app. I've come home many years inspired to try new dishes. Thank you for being there and sharing your passion with us. Thanks to Eleonora and Daniela, too! Always great to see you all.
Scott and I had a great time truffle hunting with Nico, Gus and Rocky! But the real highlight was getting in the kitchen with Chef Alessandro! We had a truffle inspired lunch; tagliolini w/ truffle, truffle eggs and an almond chocolate cake w/ an orange zest sauce. Alessandro was very patient and a great teacher - I do love to cook so I was hanging on his every word! While we\'ve made pasta at home before, we learned new tips and tricks (primarily not relying on the kitchen aid!) and I will be adopting this recipe for sure! Can\'t wait to make all of this at home and look forward to trying some of Alessandro\'s other recipes!
Our group of 6 joined the truffle hunting and cooking class with Alexandro. We had a great time. Alexandro is a good teacher. He is very generous with the white truffles. The food we prepared was so delicious. We feel more confident making pasta. It really gave us a lifetime memories.
Thank you for such an enjoyable evening. Eleonora was such a lovely lady, her instructions and expert guidance enabled us to cook a fantastic meal which was then served up to us with fabulous stye!! The dishes were amazing, who would think we could produce such extraordinary food? Of course it was Eleonora\'s skills that enabled us to achieve the result!! We have already replicated the Apple Cake dessert - with success - and now, back in Australia we are arranging an evening where we will cook the entire meal again!! Hoping we once again have success. Alessandro was an essential part of the great time we had in Montisi. He helped schedule a wonderful chef, Eleanora, to cook for us at our rental and the next day we had a cooking class in Montisi with Alessandro. No only is his kitchen extraordinary, it was a fabulous time with wine and superb recipes. Our family likes to have a good time and Alessandro was an outstanding host and teacher. 5 stars all around from the Kendall Nolan Stall Family, September 2018!
We had 2 fabulous experiences with Alessandro. First he catered a surprise 4 course birthday dinner for 8 on our first night in Pienza - the food was delicious and he was very accommodating with menu planning in advance. Second, we joined Alessandro and Nico for a memorable truffle hunting experience - very educational, Nico and his dogs Rocco and Gus found 5 truffles and then Alessandro taught us how to make tagliolin with trufflesi and béchamel egg & truffle and a lovely chocolate cake. Alessandro takes great care to ensure you understand the directions and will be able to replicate the dishes when you return home - a great experience.
